Rosanna is a dedicated advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) from India who is passionate about volunteering and her dog, Daisy.

Rosanna has always been a fierce advocate for equity and inclusion in the communities she is part of. This passion has led her to a career in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) that is informed by her education in communications and critical theory, her lived experiences, and her life's goal of breaking systemic barriers to achieve true equity. Rosanna has in depth experience in the DEI field from facilitating workshops and trainings, to conducting large scale workplace DEI audits and restructuring policy that meets the needs of diverse workplaces. Rosanna approaches this work with empathy and openness as well as through an anti-racist, anti-oppressive and trauma informed lens.

Rosanna has many roots in the local community of Mohkinstsis (Calgary), where she grew up after emigrating from India at a young age. These community roots through volunteering and experience in the not for profit sphere, are exceptionally important to her. The bonds made, stories told, and memories shared with people from different communities directly influence the work she does in her DEI consulting with employers. Rosanna believes in the importance of amplifying the voices that have been historically marginalized in order to create effective change, especially in the workplace. These experiences combined with her dedication to collaborative learning create a space for her clients to make meaningful change.

Rosanna's journey from being born in Dubai, UAE then moving to Goa, India before she came to Mohkinstsis has also had an important impact on the work she does in DEI. From understanding the effects of colonization of Goa by the Portuguese and using that lens to understand her immigration to Turtle Island, where the effects of colonialism are ever present. She is still connected to her heritage and Goan roots and continues her learning and reflection at all times. All of this wouldn't be possible without the support of her family and friends and especially her little westie dog Daisy.
