Webinar: Embracing Accessibility and Disability in the Workplace
August 17, 2023 – 10 AM – 11 AM MST
CEC is proud to host Erin Ball and Maxime Beauregard for a Zoom webinar on Embracing Accessibility and Disability in the Workplace. This 1 hour webinar is for anyone who considers access in their workplace and wants to understand how to break down some of the inherent ableism (and some of its intersections) embedded in systems. Participants will expand their knowledge to strive to offer more inclusive workplaces.
Content notices for this webinar include ableism, mention of effects of colonialism on indigenous peoples, ableism, transphobia and other forms of oppression.
The webinar will be presented in English by Erin Ball (ze/zir or Erin) and Maxime Beauregard (they/them). Slides will be described (if applicable) and auto-generated /or/ live captioning will be available. Unfortunately, there is no ASL interpretation for this event.
Erin and Maxime will strive to create a relaxed environment which welcomes everyone to participate as they are: stim, move around, and take breaks as needed. The webinar will be a combination of presentation & theories, practical action items, a short optional movement offering, and a Q&A.
