At Canadian Equality Consulting, Aska leverages her experience working with diverse and underrepresented groups through a creative and design-focused lens. She is involved in creating social media collateral, encompassing research, design, and copywriting, and developing new social media and marketing strategies. Additionally, Aska handles communications projects such as newsletter creation and blog posts, working closely with our Lead of Digital Marketing.
Aska has long been passionate about creativity, delving into a range of artistic mediums and digital spaces. She honed her skills in Design Studies and Graphic Design at Algonquin College, where she also discovered her enthusiasm for digital marketing through her role as a social media coordinator. This experience fueled her deep involvement in all facets of marketing campaigns, where she finds great satisfaction in seeing tangible results. In 2024, Aska earned a Growth Marketing certification from Growclass. Her blend of design and marketing expertise is fueled by a strong commitment to uplifting brands and communities. Notable contributions include her work with the Aga Khan Foundation, CBC, GOOD TO BE GOOD Foundation, and other mission-driven organizations. Aska also volunteers with various youth councils and boards, underscoring her dedication to fostering positive change.
Aska is a first-generation immigrant with roots in Pakistan and India, stemming from the Partition of India. Born in the United States and raised in Canada, she is deeply committed to empowering women of color and South Asian immigrants. Her dedication extends beyond achieving results; it stems from a genuine passion for fostering diversity and inclusion, with a particular focus on supporting marginalized communities. In her free time, Aska enjoys exploring thrift stores, volunteering, cooking, trying new local restaurants, practicing pottery, and discovering new matcha lattes.
