Patricia is a social justice advocate and DEI practitioner who is fueled and grounded by the mantra, “...nothing about us, without us.” She supports organizations to build internal community capacity using harm reductionist and anti-oppressive frameworks.
At Canadian Equality Consulting (CEC), Patricia is a Strategist who brings her passion for advocating, research, and anti-racist change management implementation to support organizations striving to create an equitable, culturally safe, and accessible working environment. Patricia centers the voices, work, and lived experiences of historically marginalized communities by utilizing robust qualitative research, learning and development strategies, and community-building methodologies.
Patricia holds an MA in Social Justice and Community Engagement from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA(H) in Sociology and Disaster & Emergency Management from York University.
As a first-generation immigrant woman who has experienced racism in various subtleties, she cares very deeply about bridging the gap between what’s done in theory versus practice to mitigate microaggressions, marginalization, and othering.
Patricia resides in Tkaronto (Toronto), where she discovers new hiking trails outside of work, spends quality time with friends, and binges anything Shonda Rhimes writes, produces, or directs.
