We are excited to grow our consulting team with the addition of a Strategist who will be able to support and lead multiple large diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) projects.

What you'll do:

- You will strive to meet CEC's values of Courage, Creativity, Empathy, and Equity in all that you do.

- You will actively and constantly strive to be anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-ableist, antitransphobic and anti-homophobic in all that you do professionally and personally, and you will strive to examine complex issues through intersectionality and to dismantle systems and behaviours of oppression.

- Manage client relationships: You will engage with clients on a regular basis, working through the various project phases, responding to their needs and questions, and identifying areas where CEC can add value. You will resolve client questions and problems as a trusted liaison.

- Conduct research: You will design and manage quantitative and qualitative surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and industry comparative reviews.

- Analyze data and create reports: You will work with our data and analytics lead to design data analysis frameworks and lead the creation of comprehensive findings and recommendations reports in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Word. You will need to confidently analyze excel
charts, generate findings, themes and key insights, as well as run simple descriptive statistics and cross-tabs in our survey system Qualtrics.

- Develop strategies and action plans: You will be responsible for designing DEI strategies and actions plan using findings and recommendations reports as key inputs to the process. You will work closely with clients to understand their business and ensure the strategies and action plans are feasible and sustainable.

- Lead workshops: You will participate in designing and facilitating custom workshops and presentations on a range of DEI topics.

- Write proposals: You will participate in business development activities including recruiting new clients, writing proposals and participating in interviews.

Who you are:

- You have 5+ years’ experience managing several projects at once. Consulting work 2 is very helpful but not required.

- You have 4+ years' experience progressively leading DEI focused or related work.

- You have experience analyzing datasets and developing insights and recommendations.

- You are more than comfortable with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

- You are at ease with public speaking and presenting to executive leadership.

- You have strong and concise written communication skills.

- You take initiative on projects to ensure deadlines are met and you are a team player to support and work collaboratively with the CEC team.


This is a full-time remote role in Canada. We currently have strategists in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa.
